downloading the most recent version of a module

I’ve been setting up quite some drupal sites lately, and I keep downloading the same modules over and over again.

I know I could make a distribution and start using that as a basis for new installs, but that’s not always an ideal solution.

Why not add a “download latest version” link to each module’s project page? That way I can easily make my own drupal install script once, while making sure I’m not installing deprecated versions.
