BarCampMalaysia with a little bit of DrupalCamp thrown in

BarCampMalaysia is coming up real soon now, with little under 3 weeks to go. The two-day event will take place on July 26 and 27 in Kuala Lumpur, capital of one of the technologically most rapidly evolving regions in the world.

Malaysian local user and developer communities around projects like Ruby, Drupal and various linux flavors are steadily growing and government adoption of open document formats and standards is on the move as well.

This edition of BarCampMalaysia will feature a full Drupal track as well – the first ever Drupal event to take place in Malaysia. We were going for a full DrupalCamp in its own right, but it made much more sense to go for a strong Track rather than a weak Camp. More on that later.

That said, I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the organizing team in person. If you, your contacts or your customers happen to be in the area, make sure to come by. It’ll be one big kenduri!
